Post Pandemic Art Rug
These rugs are one of a kind works of art.
Throughout the pandemic, we were able to get thousands of masks out into our community. We saved all of the fabric used to make those masks, and turned them into this series of art rugs.
After sorting and organizing the scrap fabric by color, the small pieces were sewn together to create long strips of “yarn”. Each rug is woven with its own unique blend of fabrics.
The colorful fabric in this rug was made from the scraps of T-shirts, which were used as ear loops on many of our masks
